The Cobb County School District and Marietta City Schools value diversity in the workforce. One of our goals is for our teacher and administrative population to reflect our diverse student population. We understand that a talented and diverse workforce is necessary to be competitive in today’s global marketplace and in the communities where we live. Outstanding benefits, competitive salaries and financial incentives for career growth are just a few reasons why you should consider joining one of the Southeast’s highest performing school districts. The Cobb County School District and Marietta City Schools are actively seeking African-American, American Indian, Asian, Hispanic and Multi-Racial candidates. The Diversity Cobb Program is a one-day program on Saturday, March 14, 2009, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., that will provide an exciting opportunity to learn more about these dynamic school districts and community just across the river from metropolitan Atlanta. The Diversity Cobb Program is limited to teachers, counselors, media specialists and administrators that currently hold a valid teaching, service or leadership certificate in Georgia or another state. Student teachers that will graduate by 7/1/09 may also register. Register for what could be the opportunity of a lifetime beginning January 2009.
