Web-delivered courses available through the Cobb
County School District eHigh School are approved local district
courses that meet rigorous local, state and national curriculum
standards and district assessment requirements. Students who wish
to take courses that are not available through the Cobb County School
District may select courses from the pre-approved distance learning
course providers listed below.
Prior to enrolling in courses from any out-of-district (non-Cobb
County School District) provider, the student should contact their
high school guidance counselor to ensure the course meets state
diploma requirements specified in the Cobb County School District
Board Policy IHF (5).
- Georgia
Virtual School- Cobb County School District students are required
to take online courses through Cobb's eHigh School. Students may enroll
in The Georgia Virtual School only in courses that are not yet available
from Cobb's eHigh School .
- Florida Virtual
School - This online, state-supported, high school provides internet-based
high school courses to students in and outside the state of Florida..
- APEX
Learning - This online provider offers Advanced Placement courses
online. Apex provides opportunities for students enrolled in schools
in any school district to earn credit toward a high school diploma
for courses that may also earn college credit.
The Georgia Department of Education has endorsed the online course
providers listed above as meeting State standards for eligibility
for state funding for qualifying Georgia students.
Remember: Prior to enrolling in courses from any out-of-district
provider, the student should contact their high school guidance
counselor to ensure the course meets state diploma requirements
specified in the Cobb County School District Board Policy IHF (5).
