Weather Alert For Parents
& Students
The National Weather Service and local meteorologists are calling for very cold temperatures with even colder wind-chills for the week of Nov. 17-21. All students, but especially those who ride the school bus, should consider dressing warmly with gloves, head-covering, and multi-layered clothing to protect against the cold. All Cobb County school bus drivers will report to work 30 minutes early to start their buses and make sure morning pickup remains on schedule.

Holiday Giving Tree

Each year,christmas-tree the PTA and Eastvalley Elementary School give students and their parents the opportunity to help another family in need during the holiday season. We call this program the “Holiday Giving Tree”.

Please consider helping us this holiday season, to provide assistance to those families in our school community. It is a wonderful chance to show your child the joy of giving.

The Holiday Giving Tree will be setting up in the main lobby November 14th.

If you would like to participate in this program, simply stop by the school and select a STAR.

~Purchase the item that is listed on the star.

~Wrap the gift and tape the star to the gift.

~Bring your wrapped gift and place it in the Chimney Box located in the front entrance hall by (or before) Tuesday, December 16th.

Please donate: Coats for Cobb

coats-for-cobbCoats for Cobb is an initiative designed to collect coats and distribute them to those in need — right in our own backyard. All donations will be given to residents of Cobb County this year through MUST Ministries.

Join us in reaching out to those in need. Donate your gently used coats & other warm outerwear.

Drop off coats in the collection bin at the cafeteria entrance at Eastvalley through Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2014.

Get excited!  Tutor Night is being introduced at Chick-fil-A East Lake!  We understand that there are children who may need some extra help, and we wanted to help make a difference.  This "want" sparked the question, "Why not start with the children in our community?"  Lo & behold, Tutor Night

Team members of our Chick-fil-A are volunteering their time to tutor the children on Wednesday nights from 4:30-5:30. Do not hesitate to come in!  We at Chick-fil-A East Lake are passionate about our children growing in our community.  While your child is learning, you could sit down with your family and enjoy a meal.  At the end of the quarter, the children would receive a free Icedream or Kid's meal-- it all depends on the grades.  Please email us at cfaeastlake@gmail.com if your child would like to partake in Tutor Night!

Thank you in advance for your trust in our store to help your children.  Every action taken will cause a positive influence in our community.  Let's make it positive!

Excited to serve you,

Chick-fil-A East Lake Tutors

EV Students
Come & Sharpen Your Saw
in the Morning with Coach Albert!

sunrise

Sunrise Sharpen the Saw is back! Sunrise Sharpen the Saw is an exercise program that helps students gear up for the academic day. The morning program will be Monday - Friday from 7:20 to 7:50. All classes are scheduled for a certain day of the week; however, I will only take the first 40 students by 7:25. Please encourage your child to participate!

Students perform better academically when they are physically fit.  Student’s brains are kind of like the internet - made up of circuits that handle all information. When you work cardio before class, you turn up the speed of the internet between your ears - your brain :-).
