Honoring Our Heros
Everyday Heros:  The Power of One
We are excited to be kicking off the 2015-2016 Honoring Our Heros Essay
program on November 11th.
Honoring Our Heros is a writing program that encourages students to discover, honor, and write about real-life role models displaying generosity, trust, persistence, dedication, leadership, creativity, caring, bravery, imagination, service, gentleness, courage or compassion

Students are asked to redefine media-hyped and cartoon heros such as professional athletes, movie stars, and rock musicians an instead recognize someone who has made a more personal impact on the student's life such as a family member, doctor, public safety officer, soldier, or teacher.  What a great opportunity to honor someone who may not even know what a difference they are making in your student's life! Please click here for the official entry form.  Entries are due by January 16th, 2016.  Please contace Diane Said at dianepsaid@gmail.com with any questions!

EV Students
Come & Sharpen Your Saw
in the Morning with Coach Albert!

Sunrise Sharpen the Saw is back! Sunrise Sharpen the Saw is an exercise program that helps students gear up for the academic day. The morning program will be Monday - Friday from 7:20 to 7:50. All classes are scheduled for a certain day of the week; however, I will only take the first 40 students by 7:25. Please encourage your child to participate!

Students perform better academically when they are physically fit.  Student’s brains are kind of like the internet - made up of circuits that handle all information. When you work cardio before class, you turn up the speed of the internet between your ears - your brain :-).
