A Message
from the

Hello EV Families!

We are so very proud of all the work you are doing with our students as you are working them through “digital learning”!  Thank you so much for supporting your child's continued education during this unprecedented time!  Our teachers continue to collaborate, hold virtual meetings with each other, and some have implemented virtual instruction with their students! They are continually learning new ways to meet the needs of our community and I'm so proud of the hard work they put in each day as well!
We know the massive amount of information and resources is overwhelming and especially as you are working with multiple children and working yourselves.  The struggle is real some days here at the "Foster Family Homeschool Academy".  I have worked for Cobb County Schools for almost 20 years, I've served as a grade level and EIP teacher for grades 1st-5th, I've served as an Area Lead Teacher, Assistant Principal, and now a Principal, yet my own three children (6th grade, 4th grade, and kindergarten) seem to frequently question my credentials to help them with their academic work! Their teachers are absolutely amazing so I understand why they would prefer them and miss them so much!

Please remember we are only expecting approximately 1 hour a day of work with our students in K-2nd grades and 2 hours a day of work with our students in grades 3rd-5th.  While our teachers may give more than that to provide additional opportunities for families who want it, it is not expected.
On those days where you and/or students are overwhelmed and frustrated with the schedule, take a break, walk away and get outside to play!  We typically say that students only have the attention span of their age so expect about 5 min of full attention with a 5-year-old.
Our hope is that we continue some learning while we are physically out of school but not expecting students to keep up the same pace that classroom teachers work them through when we are in school as normal.  Thank you again for all the work you are doing!  Every opportunity you have to work with your child only benefits their learning!

Eastvalley students we miss you very much and we are so proud of all the work you are doing during your time away from school!  Keep practicing your 7 Habits and your leadership skills at home like you have at Eastvalley every day!

Be well and please stay safe!  KF

Report Cards

3rd quarter Report Card grades are now available to view through ParentVue.  If you do not have access to ParentVue, please contact me at  Due to the highly confidential information provided through ParenVue, only the enrolling parent may request access and an Activation Key for ParentVue.  Please follow the steps below to request access to ParentVue for Report Card grades:

  • Enrolling parent shoudl request access in an email to
  • Please include an attached picture of your driver's license to ensure the correct person is making the request
  • Once enrolling parent is verified, you will receive the Activation Key and User Agreement from me or our Assistant Principal/ParenVue Coordinator, Dwan Jones.

We have had a couple of parents reach out to us previously and have made the request for access.  Also grades 4-5 students have access to grades through StudentVue so that may be another avenue to view 3rd quarter grades as well.

Teachers are presently monitoring student participationa and may provide feedback/commentary on their performance, however no summative grades are being entered for the 4th quarter during Digital Learning Days.

Thank you Eastvalley!  We miss you all and thank you for working with us through this tine!  Together We L.E.A.D. !!!

During week two of Cobb Schools’ partnership with MUST Ministries, the District and non-profit have built a long-term solution to provide students with a 5-day supply of breakfasts and lunches at 8 school locations on Mondays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The first day of the meal distributions will be Monday, March 23.

The school locations selected for the meal distributions include schools with more than 50% Free and Reduced Lunch populations.

Cobb Schools Food Service staff will make the food as it is provided by the District and MUST volunteers will distribute to students curbside. The meals can only be served to Cobb County students under 18 years of age, and students must be physically present.

The weekly breakfast and lunch distributions can be sustained through the rest of the 2019-2020 school year or until Cobb Schools re-opens. However, MUST needs volunteers to help by giving food donations and to sign up here to help with food distributions at schools. Please join us as we help our community in need.

Breakfast and Lunch School Distribution Locations from
11 am – 1 pm

The new school locations will replace sites where food boxes were provided this week.
