Floyd Walk to School
Committee Meeting
March 3, 6pm. This meeting will follow the
Environmental Impact Club meeting and will discuss a walk to school
initiative. March 3rd is Georgia Walk to School Day.
Floyd Receives "High Flying School Award"
Floyd Middle School
was selected as Honorable Mention for the 2010 High Flying Schools
award. The awards and recognitions will be presented at the National
Youth-At-Risk Conference March 1, 2010 in Savannah, GA, where Floyd will
be among schools sharing success stories in the High Flying School
Showcase.

Floyd Students Succeed at KSU
Competition
Ms. Melissa Guglielmi and seven French students travelled to Kennesaw
State University on November 7th and participated in the "Le Concours de
la Francophonie" French Competition. Students received
ratings of Excellent and Superior in the categories of Theme Poster and
Poetry Recitation.
