Ms. Huff Named Classified Employee of
the Year
Normandy Huff, secretary, has been named
the Classified Employee of the Year by the Floyd Staff.
This award recognizes all that Ms. Huff does for staff, parents,
and students every day to make FMS a great place to learn.
Ms. Collins Named Art Specialist of
the Year
Floyd teacher Lisa Collins has been named
the Cobb County Middle School Art Specialist of the Year.
This award recognizes her amazing talents, love of the Floyd community,
and tireless efforts (see below) on behalf of her students.
Floyd Celebrates the Arts!
The Floyd Middle School Art Show is on
display at the Mable House Art Gallery from March 9th until April 7th.

artwork are on display. Gallery hours are M-F 10:00-5:00. (Open
until 8:30 on evenings when classes are offered.) Call

Health and Wellness Roundtable
March 25; 5:30 to 8:45pm. An educational forum for families
throughout South Cobb County to receive health and wellness-related
information. Admission is free for attendees and their families when at
least one (1) current PTA membership card is presented from any South
Cobb Council of PTAs school. Memberships will be sold at the door. Click

Floyd Receives "High Flying School Award"
Floyd Middle School
was selected as Honorable Mention for the 2010 High Flying Schools
award. The award and recognition was presented at the National
Youth-At-Risk Conference in Savannah, where Floyd was among the schools
sharing success stories at the High Flying School Showcase.
