Communication and Support
Each school will communicate with parents on an on-going basis to share progress, successes, challenges, and to request support from home. Parents and teachers must work together. Forms of communication may
include, but are not limited to, notes home, weekly folders/agendas, emails, phone calls, and parent conferences.
To assist with implementation of the Primary Reporting System each school has identified a report
card mentor to support teachers new to the system. Throughout the summer, report card mentors collaborated across the district to build consistency by developing four modules: Communication, Guidelines,
Organization, and Rationale. Training agendas, resources, and suggestions from those who have previously implemented the system will serve as professional learning and continued support. In addition, report
card mentors have an online forum for sharing questions and additional ideas to support new users.
