Recognizing today’s competitive world, the Cobb County
School District launched the Advanced Placement
Certified Schools Program (APCS) in January 2004.
APCS Goal:
To increase access to and participation in challenging
coursework for all students, especially underrepresented
populations, in order to improve post-secondary success.
APCS Performance:
APCS schools review and improve enrollment practices,
promote academic challenge, develop effective support
strategies, especially for underrepresented groups of
students, and equip all teachers to deliver active, high-level
learning
The program identifies core criteria and benchmarks in four
critical areas of school performance:
|
I.
|
Implementing challenging curriculum for STUDENT
