To our Families:

Cobb County School District Title I Department appreciates the partnerships we have with our families. As the parent/guardian of a child attending a Title I school you are an important part of the Title I team. Your input is vital in the planning and implementation of the family engagement program and activities in our schools and those provided by the District. The focus of all Title I programs is to help eligible students meet the same high academic achievement standards expected of all children, regardless of their socioeconomic status and background. The following surveys are confidential and will be used to assist us with future planning for family engagement initiatives and events.

A Nuestras Familias:

El Departamento de Título I del Distrito Escolar del Condado de Cobb aprecia las alianzas que tenemos con nuestras familias. Como padre/tutor de un estudiante asiste a una escuela Título I, es usted una parte importante del equipo Titulo I. Su contribución es vital en el planeo e implementación del programa de participación de familias y actividades  en nuestras escuelas y esas las proporcionadas por el Distrito. El foco de todos los programas de Título I es el  ayudar a los estudiantes cumplir con los mismos estándares de alto rendimiento académico que se espera de todos los niños, independientemente de su nivel socioeconómico y antecedentes. The Parent Engagement Program

The goal of the Parent Engagement Program is to increase student achievement by engaging and empowering parents, as well as other stakeholders, to become actively involved in their children’s education across all grade levels. (Georgia Department of Education, 2016)

Do you need help and resources for parenting an adolescent?
Peer Pressure, Bullying, Self-esteem, Gang Prevention, Drugs, Discipline, Parenting Roles

The Parent Resource Center is provided through the CCSD Title I Department for Griffin Middle School parents to access various resources that support parenting efforts with middle school adolescents. Resources include informational pamphlets, homework tools, and access to technology.
There are three computers with Internet access for parents to use for educational purposes.

No appointment is necessary to use the Parent Resource Room. However, parents do need
to sign-in before accessing resources. If assistance is needed regarding available resources,
please contact Mr. Quintana via email at

For parenting information and assistance beyond the PRR resources, please contact your student's school counselor to set up an appointment for more in-depth discussions pertaining to your student.
