Parent's Right to Know
Each year, the Cobb County School District (District) provides families with a variety of information regarding specific District policies, rules, and programs.  The Family Information Guide (Guide) contains a wealth of information about the District including the Student Code of Conduct, as well as information about privacy rights, important dates, and more.

The Parent Engagement Program

The goal of the Parent Engagement Program is to increase student achievement by engaging and empowering parents, as well as other stakeholders, to become actively involved in their children’s education across all grade levels. (Georgia Department of Education, 2016)

Do you need help and resources for parenting an adolescent?
Peer Pressure, Bullying, Self-esteem, Gang Prevention, Drugs, Discipline, Parenting Roles

The Parent Resource Center is provided through the CCSD Title I Department for Griffin Middle School parents to access various resources that support parenting efforts with middle school adolescents. Resources include informational pamphlets, homework tools, and access to technology.
There are three computers with Internet access for parents to use for educational purposes.

No appointment is necessary to use the Parent Resource Room. However, parents do need to sign-in before accessing resources.

For parenting information and assistance beyond the PRR resources, please contact your student's school counselor to set up an appointment for more in-depth discussions pertaining to your student.
