Power To Learn

Power to Learn is a three-phase plan to equip students and teachers with individual wireless notebook computers, taking Cobb County students to a new level of connectivity between curriculum and information technology – anytime, anyplace.

Pending approval from the Board of Education, the Cobb County School District will partner with Apple to provide 63,000 Apple iBook G4 notebook computers, first to teachers this spring and to high school students in spring 2006. See our Power 2 Learn information page for more information.

One to One Initiatives

Learn about the one-to-one laptop initiative at School District 54 in Schaumburg, Illinois. Dr. Lynne Rauch, Superintendent of Schools, explains the project's goals and benefits, with some help from district administrators, teachers, and students.

This one-to-one laptop initiative was not about technology, but rather about enhancing the opportunity for students and adults to learn. It was about literacy, connectivity, and about giving kids the world.
Apple Learning Interchange

Apple has developed an online educational environment to facilitate the interchange of ideas among teachers, education leaders, visionaries, and innovators. The Learning Interchange provides the vehicle for reflective discussion of contemporary education practices through a network of organizations dedicated to improvement.
