Club
Mission/Purpose:
The mission of the French Club is to
encourage interest in the study of the French language and culture by
providing students with opportunities to both learn and socialize in a
relaxed setting.

Meets: Students meet once a month to discuss French Club
business, sample French delicacies, and play games in the target
language.
Past/Planned Activities: Several times throughout the
school year, French Club arranges authentic French dinners at local
restaurants so that members can familiarized themselves with the superb
cuisine of France. In a more serious vein, French Club works on
philanthropic projects during the school year by providing club members
as workers and donating money from club dues to school charity projects.
Also, on a national level, French Club collects gifts for hospital-bound
children at St. Jude in Memphis, Tennessee.

There are many small
groups within Interact and you may want to focus on one of our
many activities or even run one of the activities.
These change over time but some of the small groups include: one-on-one
pen pals with Calvary Childrens Home, students who eat lunch occasionally
at the special ed table, face-painters, leukemia penny collecting, etc.
You can come to the meetings to enjoy guest speakers and morning
activities or you can just check the door to attend the field trips.
There are no requirements as far as GPA, just hat you want to lend a helping
hand and have a great time doing it! Everyone is welcome!
Key Club
Mission/Purpose:
Key Club is the oldest
and largest service program for high school students. What makes Key Club so
successful is the fact that it is a student-led organization that teaches
leadership through serving others. Members of the Kiwanis International
family, Key Club members build themselves as they build their schools and
communities.

Mission/Purpose:
The Laureate is a monthly

Peer Helper
Mission/Purpose:
We Provide Education,
Activities, and Mediation to Promote Healthy Peer Relationships and Promote

represents a diverse student population with a variety of race and cultural

Peer Helpers provide
listening, support, information, and referral to help address a variety of
peer issues. Peer Helpers also assist students and staff with 8th
Grade Articulation activities, 9th Grade Advisement, student
orientation, information dissemination and workshops on peer issues,
fundraising, and community service projects. Activities we have sponsored
include: The Salvation Army Stocking Drive, American Cancer Society Relay
for Life, Bullying Prevention and Intervention, mentoring at Garrison Mill
Elementary, Eager To Be Drug Free Day at surrounding elementary schools,
Christmas toy and clothes drive, and peer academic tutoring
Robotics Team

and use of the Spanish language and to foster appreciation of Hispanic
