We are so excited to have partnered with the Cobb County Public Library to create complementary summer reading programs for K-5 and Middle School! For the first time ever, the two organizations collaborated to create programs that support one another and provide the best resources and experiences for children during the summer months. To view the CCSD materials and links to the CCPL program, please visit http://edcvs.co/ZzAjY1 for K-5 resources, and http://edcvs.co/11cg2e7 for Middle School (requires IE9 or above, Firefox, or Chrome for viewing). A special thank you to Denise Saylors, media paraprofessional at Kennesaw Elementary, for donating her time as our graphic artist.
We successfully upgraded to Version 10.5 last week, and as a result, the FollettShelf integration has also been completed. You should now see a FollettShelf link on the Destiny Quest home page as well as one on the left hand side of the catalog page. All Follett eBooks will be included on the Shelf but eBooks from other vendors will need to be accessed through a catalog search. Several new features in 10.5 are worth noting including a call number limiter in Power Search and lexiles added to WebPath Express. Click here to learn more and review all the features included with the upgrade.
State and district policies require that every school form a library media committee to give stakeholders a voice in determining the goals and priorities of their library media program and to help ensure that the program has the support of the entire school community. Please use this form to record the names of your committee members. Email your completed form to Beverly Myers by October 1st.
