Cobb County Kindergarten and New First Grade Registration


Registration for all students entering a Cobb County kindergarten or first grade class for the first time in 2008-2009 will be conducted at each school on April 2nd.

Kindergarten students must be five years old on or before September 1
First Grade students must be six years old on or before September 1

Bring the following documents and information to registration:

1. State law requires a certificate of immunization (Form #3231) and a hearing, dental and vision form (Form #3300) available from physicians or the Cobb County Health Department. Form #3300 Certificate must be dated within 12 months of the first day of school.

2. A certified birth certificate (not a hospital certificate) from the State Bureau of Vital Statistics.

3. Social Security number (optional)

4. Two proofs of residency in the school attendance zone.

Also needed are the names and phone numbers of persons who may pick up your child if you cannot be reached, and the name and phone number of your child's doctor.

REPORT TO YOUR LOCAL SCHOOL BETWEEN 8:30 AND 11:00 AM ON APRIL 2ND.
