Nine Cobb Schools Included On Newsweek List of Best Public High Schools

Newsweek magazine included nine high schools from the Cobb County School District in its list of America’s Top Public High Schools. Only 1,358 schools made the list, based on a ‘Challenge Index’ devised by Newsweek that gauges participation rates for Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Cambridge tests.

The Cobb high schools listed, with ranking indicated in parentheses are: Walton (106), Campbell (213), Lassiter (427), Wheeler (841), Harrison (848), Osborne (951), Pope (1063), Sprayberry (1073) and Kell (1138). Walton High is the highest ranked Georgia school included on the list. More information about the list of America’s Top Public High Schools, including the selection criteria and FAQs, is available on Newsweek.com.
