Our ASP program is available to all Nickajack students.  The program begins after school and runs until 6:00 p.m. everyday that school is in session.  All Cobb County School District policies in the student handbook apply to ASP.   Snacks are provided by our Cafeteria and older students are given an opportunity to do homework.


 

Policies and Procedures

Fees

  • ASP is a pre-paid program.

  • Payment can be made weekly or monthly using cash, check, or money order.

  • Parents may register for an account at www.MyPaymentsPlus.com to make payments online. Payments will be posted to your student's account in 24-48 hours. 

  • Registration per student: $10.00

  • Tuition: $7.00 per day per student

  • Late fee: $1.00 per minute after 6:00 p.m. until student is picked up (according to school clocks).

  • Returned checks policy:

    • 1st occurence - check amount is charged back to students account.

    • 2nd occurence - only cash and money orders will be accepted for the remainder of the school year.

Attendance

  •  Tuition payment must be made prior to the student attending the ASP Program.
  • Attendance is taken immediately after school dismissal and the student's account is charged.
  • Student accounts with past due balances may result in the student being removed from the program.

 

Student Behavior / Emergencies / Inclement Weather

  • Students are expected to adhere to all Cobb County School District policies in the student handbook while attending ASP.  Failure to do so may result in suspension or withdrawal from the program. 
  • The Cobb County Police department will be contacted by a school official if an emergency occurs that threatens the welfare of a student.  Late pick up from ASP may be considered such an emergency.
  • For the protection of your student, only people designated on the registration form will be allowed to pick up your student.  Identification will be required.
  • If the school closes for inclement weather or for any other reason, ASP will also be closed.
  • Students may be suspended or withdrawn from the ASP program for the following reasons:
    • 3 late pick ups
    • non-payment or late payment of tuition and fees
    • discipline problems
    • principal's discretion
