ood Drive

November 6th - 14th

Nickajack will be collecting food items for The Center for Family Resources, which provides over 1,500 Thanksgiving baskets to Cobb families each year.  Thanksgiving week can be even more financially stressful when students are home from school for more than just the holiday meal.  Through participation in the annual Thanks for Giving food drive, our generous community captures the true spirit of Thanksgiving.  With harvesting hands and a helping heart, please consider donating to our food drive

What items are needed?

Beginning November 6th, please send any food items that you would like to donate to school with your child.  There will be collection barrels located outside the main office.
Thank you for your generosity!
If you have any questions, please contact

The safety and security of our students is our number one priority.

We will continue to assess and evaluate our security policies and procedures and to make any adjustments necessary to ensure the safety of our students.

Attched to the image above is a letter outlining changes we made during the 2016-2017 school year.  If  more changes become necessary parents will be notified.

Thank you for your understanding and doing your part to keep us safe!

Nickajack has added two 1st grade classes to our Dual Language English/Spanish Immersion program!  Last year's Kindergartners will move up to 1st grade and we will welcome our second group of Kindergarten students to the program.  This unique model provides instruction and support for students in learning both languages.  Students will split their day between instruction in Spanish and English.

  • We will continue to grow this program each year through Grade 5.

  • We will instill cultural competence and enhance communication among our students and community.

  • Our vision and mission is to develop and honor the greatness in everyone and help every child to become a leader.

  • Our Dual Language English/Spanish Immersion program will help students to become bi-lingual and bi-literate in an ever changing world.
