Senior Dues are $40 but if students want to participate in the senior week activities, they need to pay at least half by Monday April 26th

Prom Dues for Seniors who did not pay as Juniors are $145.

Herff Jones Cap and Gown Fees. Late fees will be assessed each month. So: March 1st the late fee is $20, April 1st the late fee is $30, May 1st the late fee is $40. So for March the cost is $67 for the cap and gown, $10 handling fee and tax of $4.62 for a total of $81.62. Each month after is $10 dollars more.

Senior College Planning

August

  • Continue searching/applying for scholarships. One program you can use to research scholarships is www.careercruising.com
  • Review admission requirements of potential college choices; make sure your senior schedule reflects those requirements

September

  • Talk to your counselor about graduation requirements and early decision options
  • Request letters of recommendations for early admission/early decision-allow for appropriate turnaround time
  • Apply for early admissions to colleges of choice

October

  • Note all deadlines for college admission applications
  • Attend college fairs and financial aid nights with your parents
  • Narrow down your college choices

November

  • Request transcripts, test scores, and letters of recommendation for college applications
  • Apply for admission to schools
  • Apply to at least 3 schools:1)dream school; 2)realistic school; 3)backup school
  • Respond promptly to requests for additional information

December

  • Apply for your Personal Identification Number(PIN) online at www.pin.ed.gov
  • Attend financial aid workshops with parent(s)
  • Schedule interviews with college admissions officers when applicable

January

  • Complete tax returns and gather additional financial statements
  • File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA) online as soon after January 1 as possible at www.fafsa.ed.gov

February

  • Respond promptly to any request for additional information from colleges
  • Continue researching and applying to scholarships(note their deadlines)

March

  • Look for acceptance letters from colleges and respond promptly to any request for additional information

April-May

  • Continue financial aid packages of the various schools, verify cost, and calculate amount of aid needed
  • Review how to supplement your financial aid
  • Request final transcripts and follow up with the Financial Aid Office
  • Make a decision and sign your letter of intent
  • Schedule orientation
