We are dedicated to creating a fun, safe learning environment for our students who choose our after school care. Inside and outside activities are planned and supervised along with time for homework for grades 1st - 5th.

The After-School Program (ASP) operates each school day from dismissal to 6:00 p.m. and is a PREPAID program.  The cost is $35.00 per week or $7.00 per day per child plus a yearly $10 registration fee.  Students receive a snack and there is a mandatory homework period for grades 1-5.

Payment should be made out to Pickett’s Mill ASP and put in the ASP box located in the gym.  In order for the student to stay in ASP their account balance must have enough funds to cover that day.  This will be strictly enforced per Cobb County policy.  Please have your student’s name and teacher on the payment envelope, which is available in the ASP office which is located in the gym.

Only people designated on the registration form will be allowed to pick up students. Identification will be required. Your child must be signed out at the desk every day.

Students may be suspended or withdrawn from the AfterSchool Program for the following reasons:

Excessive late pick-up

Discipline problems

Nonpayment of tuition and/or late pick-up fees

Uncooperative parents

Principal discretion

The After School Program is a privilege and the students are expected to behave properly. The same behavior that is expected during the school day is also expected in the After School Program. Inappropriate behavior may result in suspension or withdrawal of a student.

If school closes because of inclement weather or for any other reasons, the After-School Program will also close. In this case, instructions will be followed from the inclement weather form given to the student's homeroom teacher.
