Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl

 

What is the Reading Bowl Club?

If you are a fourth or fifth grader who LOVES to read and you want to compete against other kids, then this is the club for you! You read 10 books and we practice answering questions from those books. In January, we will go compete against other schools in Cobb County!

 What does the team look like?

Our team will have 10 students total. The team can have two alternates in the event that a team member can not compete on competition day.

Who was Helen Ruffin?

Image result for helen ruffinHelen Ruffin was a library media specialist who loved reading and wanted to create a way to highlight the Georgia Book Award books. She created this reading bowl so that students across the state could compete and share a love of reading.
