There are many ways to get plugged in to our school through our PTSA. To be a chair of a committee, you do need to be an active member of the PTSA.

Fundraising

This committee is responsible for generating revenue to support the PTSA operatios which benefit the parents, teachers, and students of our school.

School Store

The school store is located inside our school and open to students during select times. The PTSA volunteers working in the school store sell concessions and school supplies.

General Fundraising

The general fundraising committee is responsible for developing ideas and coordinating volunteers to carry out a successful fundraising.

Student Activities and Recognition

This committee is responsible for planning, overseeing, and/or supporting various activities planned by the school to support school goals.

Mighty Mustangs

The “Mighty Mustang” wall signing event occurs each 9 week grading period.  This celebration of “Academics”, “Amazing Attitude” and “Arts & Athletics” gives teachers the opportunity to recognize students for one of those categories. Parents are invited and students are given refreshments, in addition to a certificate and the opportunity to sign their name on a “Mighty Mustang”.

Wall of Honor Banquet

Eighth grade students earning all A’s during their entire 3 year middle school career based on smester averages, will be recognized in May at our Wall of Honor Banquet where they will have the opportunity to leave their handprint on the "Wall of Honor" as they leave Pine Mountain.  This is an invitation only event.

Meet and Greet & Curriculum Night

Meet and Greet occurs just prior to the start of the school year. This committee works to help recruit and promote PTSA membership as well as assists our new and returning families by creating a warm and welcoming environment. Curriculum Night occurs after the start of the school year and is the same concept as Meet and Greet. However, during this event parents are able to learn more about the specific curriculum of our school by meeting their student's teachers.

Staff Appreciation

This committee works on various events for staff throguhout the year. As examples, they plan "Soup for Souper Staff and Staff Appreciation Week.

Duty Free Lunches

This committee helps relieve teachers during lunch time by covering lunchroom supervision for staff. This is planned in coordination with the principal.
