am honored to have been named the principal at Pitner. I am excited to begin
serving the students, staff, and community of this wonderful school. Cobb
County schools have been my second home for the past 15 years, with the last
eight as a principal. I bring with me a genuine passion for helping students
be the best they can be!
I have four children ranging in ages from 3 to 17,
so the I House is a busy place! Parenting is the toughest, most rewarding
job one can ever have and I embrace it fully. In order to stay balanced, I
engage in physical outlets including tennis and golf and the occasional
pickup basketball game. Our family enjoys outdoor activities, especially if
it involves the beach or camping!
I desire to make Pitner a place where
students and staff love coming every single day. With the combined efforts
of parents, teachers, staff and other stakeholders, I have no doubt this year
will be one to remember.
Ms. Debbie Blake, Assistant Principal
Ms. Blake is
to be a Pitner Patriot! This is her eighth year at Pitner
Elementary and she is honored to work with such a dedicated staff at the
most amazing elementary school around! In her 20 years as an educator, Ms.
Blake's experiences include being an elementary teacher, working as an
Instructional Lead Teacher and serving the Cobb County School District as a
Technology Integration Specialist. Ms. Blake received a B.S. in Elementary
Education from Wayne State University in Detroit, and M.A and Ed.S. degrees
in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University. Ms. Blake has a
young daughter and treasures the times she is able to play tennis and spend
time with family and friends.
Jane Griffeth, Administrator
I am thrilled to be at Pitner serving as your SSA – Support and Services
Administrator. I have been serving students in Special Education for 7
years within Cobb County schools. I have a passion for special
education and I strongly believe that every student can learn. I am so
excited about this opportunity to work with students, teachers, and parents
at Pitner! I have two children of my own that attend Cobb County
Schools in 5th and 7th grades. I treasure
my role as a parent and we stay busy as a family with sporting activities
and trips to the beach and lake in the summer. I also enjoy exercise
of all types and reading a variety of books. I can’t wait to see the
successes of all students at Pitner this year.
Mrs. Bridget Mullett, School Leadership Intern
Mrs. Mullett is excited to return to the Pitner staff
this year! As a twenty two year
veteran teacher, this is her second year at Pitner in Administration.
Previously she taught at Austell Elementary, at all grade levels, and
then moved to the Cobb’s County Office as a district literacy coach.
Mrs. Mullett is married to a former McEachern math teacher and
they have four children. Three are high school graduates and one is currently in high school. Her favorite thing
to do is work out in her local gym and beg her children to read more!
