Ms. Sherri Hill, Principal
has been at Pitner since its doors opened in 2003. She came to the school as
the Instructional Lead Teacher, moved into an Assistant Principal position
and was named principal in 2008. She began her teaching career in 1993
teaching a 9th grade class in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri,
her hometown. Then she spent the next four years in the Washington, D.C.
area where she taught grades 4-6, served as a Curriculum Specialist and
Staff Development trainer. Mrs. Hill received her undergraduate degree in
Elementary Education from Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN; her
Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Coppin State College in
Baltimore, MD; and her Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision
from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN. She has been married to
her college sweetheart, Rod, since 1997 and they have 3 daughters, Sheridan,
Brooklyn and Jillian.
Ms. Debbie Blake, Assistant Principal
Ms. Blake is
to be a Pitner Patriot! This is her seventh year at Pitner
Elementary and she is honored to work with such a dedicated staff at the
most amazing elementary school around! In her 20 years as an educator, Ms.
Blake's experiences include being an elementary teacher, working as an
Instructional Lead Teacher and serving the Cobb County School District as a
Technology Integration Specialist. Ms. Blake received a B.S. in Elementary
Education from Wayne State University in Detroit, and M.A and Ed.S. degrees
in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University. Ms. Blake has a
young daughter and treasures the time she is able to play tennis and spend
time with family and friends.
