Important Upcoming Dates:
MUST Gobble Jog
Many of you are probably aware that MUST Ministries has
a great Thanksgiving morning walk/race to support the
feeding of the homeless and less fortunate. But, did you
know that one of the top teams every year has been
organized by our own Coach Christine Dahlhauser.
We would like to honor her this
year by creating the largest team ever to participate
and need your help to do that. Those that have
participated have found that it is a great way to start
the day with all of their family and friends, and the
opportunity to honor a great member of the Pope family
will make it even more special. You can walk, run, cheer
or even sign up if you can’t be there.
We are also entertaining the
thought of a pre-race day get together so please email
Coach Blythe at
William.email@example.com as you sign up to get on
the master email list, to ask questions or to make

SWAG is December 13th, 2014!
What is SWAG?
Seven years ago, Pope High School successfully
launched a new community service program called Shop
with a Greyhound, or as we fondly call it, SWAG.
By joining our efforts, you are committing to be one of
“Santa’s Helpers”. You will be responsible for
raising money in order to take children from Brumby
Elementary School shopping for the Holidays.
When is the big day this year?
On December 13, 2014, we will host our 7th
annual SWAG event. By registering, you will be
dedicating your time and energy on your child as they
enjoy activities here at Pope as well as shopping at
Target. Our goal is to make a positive difference
in the lives of these children.
What do I have to do to sign up?
In order to register, you need to visit Pope’s
website and complete the
online SWAG application. Then print
form, complete it, and turn it in with your $65
donation (see application for donation details) to room
118 in a sealed envelope. All 3 things (online
and money) must be turned in by October 30th.
Only the first 400 applicants will be accepted.
Why do we do this?
It is our belief that Pope students should provide
service and leadership to our community. SWAG is a
great community service outreach project that generates
good will in the community, yields service hours for
Pope club members, and provides the less fortunate with
a much needed special day during the holiday season.
Wednesday, October 15th- online
Thursday, October 30th – online
application, permission form and money due
Wednesday, December 10th - SWAG meeting
during x-block in theater
Saturday, December 13th- SWAG

Haunted Theater: Noxious
High School Drama Club presents Haunted Theater: Noxious
Drainpipe, a unique, theatrical “haunted house”
experience (walk-though haunted house). A chemical spill
has ruptured in the sewer system and the city has been
evacuated. The damage is unknown, and the government has
requested that citizens volunteer to scope out and
explore the polluted area. While the area has been cited
to contain a variety of thugs, bandits, and lowlifes, it
should be assured that that no mutations have occurred
within its confines…for now…
Dates: October 28, 29, & 30, from
6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Tickets are $5 each and are sold at
the door only. Bring two canned goods when you purchase
a ticket to get in a second time for free! Canned goods
will be donated to Must Ministries in support of the
Pope High School Drama Club’s Trick-or-Treat So Kids Can
Eat charitable food drive.
NEW PARKING REGULATIONS
Starting this year, Pope will have designated
Parking areas. We will not assign
specific parking spots, but any parking area that is
is designated as teacher parking, and students who park
in the teacher sections will be ticketed. Thank you for
your cooperation and attention to this new policy.
