Intervention Center are proud to host a PSA contest.
The PSA’s should address:

Who:
Six through twelfth grade student/school/community group based in
Cobb County, GA
What:
30, 60 or 90 second PSA – Public Service Announcement
Why:
Utilize artistic talent of Cobb County students to increase
effective messaging for the
prevention of underage drinking and the promotion of youth sources of strength
When:
April 1 – May 8, 2010 (deadline for submitting entries is
midnight May 8, 2010)
How:
Create a
free SchoolTube account under
your school/community group before uploading entry.
Log in at
ww.SchoolTube.com.

2. Follow
the simple steps below when prompted to ensure entry into the contest:

terms and conditions then select file and upload your video in one of
the formats listed.

6. Download,
complete, sign and submit
entry form and
media release
form along with
a copy of video entry in uncompressed MPEG format
(highest quality possible) or Mini DV and a DVD

Rules:
· Video
entries must address one of 2 topics (one topic per entry); Who Can
Prevent Underage Drinking? Or How Youth Find Sources of Strength?
· Video
must not depict alcohol or other risky behaviors as favorable, nor be
glorified or portrayed in a positive fashion
· All
copyright regulations must be followed
· Signed
entry form and
media release
forms must accompany submissions by the deadline in order to be
judged
Video entries must be uploaded to School Tube AND mini DV format and/or
additional DVD copy of entry must be submitted by mail
Judging:
· Each
video will be subject to a 3 judge panel critique based on originality
and creativity (30%), communication of message (30%) and overall appeal
(40%)
· There
will also be a School Tube viewers choice award
Prizes:
· Top
3 finalists in each of 2 categories and viewers choice award; $300 for 1st
prize, $200 for 2nd
prize, $100 for 3rd
prize, and $300 for viewers choice award (one prize per
student/school/community group)
· Winning
videos will be posted on various websites and air on local broadcast TV
channels, Cobb Government TV23 and CobbEd TV
· Winners
will be honored at public celebration events
