Welcome to Rocky Mount ES
Unlocking the Potential of Tomorrow's Leaders
Student scientists in Mrs. Simmons' 4th grade class accepted the Collecting Clean Water STEM Challenge! Students
were challenged to design an instrument that would collect water vapor to supply clean water to parts of the world where access
to clean water is difficult!
Rocky Mount’s Career Center Week kicked off on Tuesday, and our students had the opportunity to explore a wide range of career
options. Our amazing professional school counselors, Mrs. Lightstone and Miss Marks, and their team of creative and
dedicated parent volunteers outdid themselves again!!! Thank you, TEAM!!
Federal Express Career Center was an exciting event at Rocky Mount! Students learned about the Transportation, Distributions and
Logistics cluster by transforming into Fed Ex workers! They were able to inquire, explore, and play while using the tools and
products of a real packer and shipper!
