  • Books may be renewed once or reserved. See your Media Specialist.
  • Students should know their Lexile or reading levels when coming to the Media Center.

Lost or Damaged Books:

  • We believe it is important our students learn to be responsible for their actions. Students using Media Center books are expected to treat them carefully and take care of the materials loaned to them.
  • Lost or damaged books and other materials will be charged according to Cobb County Policy. (This includes torn book covers.)
  • Overdue notices will be sent out on a regular schedule. Student notices will be folded and placed in teachers’ mailboxes.
  • Students with overdue, lost, or damaged materials may not checkout additional materials until all items are returned or paid for.
  • End-of-year report cards for students with overdue or missing materials will be held until all fines are paid or materials returned.

Media Center Volunteers

  • We appreciate our wonderful volunteers at Russell! Since thousands of books are checked out and shelved each month, the help of our volunteers is so meaningful. At Russell we have student volunteers and adult volunteers who are parents or other special adults in the community. To find out how you can help, please contact our Media Specialist.
