ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FOUNDATION, INC.

     The William Milton Davis Elementary School Foundation, Inc. provides parents with the ability to enrich the educational opportunities for our children.  It enables us to provide resources beyond those already provided by Cobb County or our PTA.

      The Foundation is governed by a board of parents, teachers and community members.  After careful research and consideration these trustees will assess the needs of the school and determine where the Foundation can help.  Other school foundations have been able to support science enhancements, foreign language programs, install new sound systems, provide in-house video, media production centers, etc…  The opportunities are endless. 

     If you are interested in helping the Foundation in any way, either through volunteering or making a contribution, please contact any foundation board member below.

      The Foundation is a Georgia non-profit corporation that has its 501 (c)(3) tax exempt status from the IRS.  That’s right…all donations are tax deductible!

What is the Foundation?

The William Milton Davis Elementary School Foundation, Inc. was established as a charitable, non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that can raise additional financial resources beyond those of the Cobb County School System and the PTA to fund capital improvement campaigns, teacher salaries, and other needs as they arise.

 

What is the difference between the Foundation and PTA?

The PTA is an organization that supports the day-to-day educational programs of the school.  There are very specific guidelines and restrictions that have to be followed by the PTA pertaining to fundraising and expenses.  The Foundation has the ability to provide programs and resources above and beyond those provided by the Cobb County School District.  The tax-exempt status of the Foundation allows us to receive employee-matching funds and to apply for educational grant monies.

FUNDRAISING

     As a charitable organization, we have the ability to accept employee matching grants as

 well as individual donations.  In addition, we are going to kick things off by teaming up with

 Boosterthon Fun Run.  This is a  new fundraiser for Davis and we think the kids will really
