Your Assignments for Thursday, 17 April, 2008
SoccerBot
You have the standard program now. Experiment with it. Make sure it works the way that you think that it does. If it doesn't, figure out how to change your idea.
Robot C
All computers in the room have the most up to date version of RobotC loaded. I put in a request to get the path changed for the new version of RobotC. You may need to h4><0r your way in to the program if it hasn't been fixed yet.
C:\Program Files\Robotics Academy\ROBOTC for Mindstorms\RobotC.exe
Program Timing
If you would like to bypass the "wait" at the beginning of the program, or go directly into "manual mode" then you need to adjust the times in task main () from the SoccerBot program. Read the comments in the program if you need assistance, that is why they are there.
Please be aware that the default times are provided as well so that you can fix your program to make it "competition ready" in the future.
The PS2 Controllers
You might be at the point where you are ready to attach the PS2 sensor. Please be aware that the default program has this sensor set on sensor port 1.
You should be able to add and remove the electrical sensor components by simply "snapping it on" to your robot and attaching the necessary cable.Make sure that your controller is turned on (switch is on the back) and connected to your robot. You may need to press the "red" button on the robot sensor and then the "Connect" button on the controller.
Make sure that the red light on the controller is "on" if you want the analog sticks to work with your robot!! Press the "analog" button on the controller if this red light is off. If it still doesn't come on, check to make sure that the controller is even on in the first place.
Turn OFF the controller when you are done using it!!
