Student Athletics

A physical is required to participate in all sports and must be completed before tryouts/conditioning . Check the school office for forms. The Athletic Booster Club supports all sports. Most sports also have their own Booster group. Lettering is available for all varsity sports.

Who is Eligible to Participate?
Attention all Post-Secondary Option students. If you participate in any athletics at Wheeler you need to see Mr. Garity. One college course is not equivalent to a High School Carnegie Unit. We need to ensure that you are considered a full-time High School student under the rules of the Georgia High School Association.

Cobb County Schools have regulations regarding who is eligible to participate in extracurricular activities based on grades and behavior. Check the Wheeler Student Handbook (distributed to every student in the Student Planner) or the Cobb County Schools website, www.cobbk12.org, for full details.

Sponsors, meeting times, costs, membership requirements are all subject to change. If you have problems contacting a particular team, call the school office for help.
