Meet the Coaches

Head Coach David Lockhart
Coach Lockhart is a graduate of Pope High School were he wrestled for Coach Jim Haskin. He wrestled in the heavyweight weight class were he was a state qualifier and Cobb County Runner up. He began his coaching career at CD Hylton High School were he coached under the son of the second all time winning coach in the state of Virginia. At Hylton Coach Lockhart had the pleasure of coaching the 2006 Cardinal District championship team, 8 state qualifiers, and one state placer

Community Coach JR Froy
Coach Froy wrestled at Pope for Coach Haskin at the same time as Coach Lockhart. His senior year he wrestled 130 pounds. Coach Froy was the area champion at 130 in 1999 and was also second in the county that year. His senior year he had an overall record of 39-6 with 23 pins

Community Coach Brian Vice
Coach Vice wrestled at Wheeler from 97-00. He was a two time state champion at 103 and 112. He was also a two time area champion and a county champion. We are very excited to welcome Coach Vice back to the family, and their will be more to come later!

JV Head Coach Brian Maloney
Brian wrestled for Coach Haskin at Pope and graduated the year before Coach Lockhart did in 98. His career unfortunatley ended because of injury. We are excited to have Coach Maloney on staff and at Wheeler High School
