The Catalyst Newspaper - -- For students interested in covering the news (writing stories, taking photographs, designing page layouts) in and around Wheeler.
Sponsor: Sarah Wheatley
Expectations: Weekly editor meetings in room 002, offered as a third block class
Cost: No cost to join, but all staff members are expected to sell subscriptions and advertising to pay for the cost of producing the newsmagazine.
When: Entire year
How to join: Sign up
Background Req.: Recommendation from Language Arts Teacher or Photography Teacher, high level of writing skills
Parent Involvemt.: None required

Wildcat TV -- For all students who have interest in production of media and television. Use class equipment to videotape WHS events (sports, homecoming, events, etc.) for broadcast on WHS Wildcat TV
Sponsor: Leigh Anne Kuhn
Expectations: Must be enrolled in Broadcast Video class; videotape and edit WHS events during and outside school hours
Cost: None
When: Entire year
How to join: See Ms. Kuhn
Background Req.: Need to be enrolled in a current media class; Good camera skills and some video production knowledge; Reliable participation
Parent Involvemt.: Transportation help if needed

Roar Yearbook -- Produce Wheeler's award-winning yearbook
Sponsor: Tara Hamilton
Expectations: Monthly meetings, work during class, before/after school, camp
Cost: Camp costs ($100 at least)
When: Entire year
How to join: Application due Apr.-May
Background Req.: "Intro to Journalism" class
Recommendation: Ms. Weeks
Parent Involvemt.: Not required but available
