The Night School Program
provides additional opportunities for the block or traditional student to
earn additional credits, recovery of lost credit or to speed ahead.
Potentially, by enrolling in
Night School a student earn two full units through the
use of credit recovery via NovaNet @ Night
or a full unit for the traditional student. Night
school has two semesters.
Each semester will last
thirteen weeks. Tuition school class seat hour requirement is
based on the block schedule. This structure provides for 67.5 hours of
instruction for a half unit.
During each semester a variety of courses will be available. Each
class will meet for three hours (5:00pm – 8:00pm) two nights a week (Mondays
and Thursdays). First semester starts in September and ends during December
and second semester starts in February and ends in May. The
cost will be $300.00
per half credit and $600.00 for
a full credit. If students are
looking for an opportunity to catch up or speed ahead this may be their
opportunity. Class offerings are not guaranteed every semester.
These
opportunities are accessible to Cobb County students attending either a
block scheduled or traditionally scheduled school.
Providing there is available space, students from other
school districts may enroll.
