CVA News & Announcements

Spring Term 2020

CVA Students: Cobb Virtual Academy will continue all classes during the school closures.

The following email was sent to all CVA students and parents on 4/3 and applies to all CVA courses:

Subject: CVA COVID-19 Grading Update

On Thursday afternoon, the CCSD sent an update on teaching and learning for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.  Per this guidance, you can now view your CVA class grade as of 3/13 in the My Grades section of your CVA course.

From now until the end of the CVA term, students, with the guidance of their CVA instructors, will have a chance to improve their 3/13 class grade. Students with a grade below 70 on 3/13 should submit work to improve their grade to 70 or higher. The final date to submit work in CVA courses is Thursday, April 30. The student’s final course grade will represent the higher of the 3/13 Class Grade column or the student’s end-of-term grade. While we recognize that students have the option to choose the 3/13 course grade, we encourage all students to continue engaging in their CVA course(s).

Next week is Spring Break; your CVA course is still available for you to continue to submit work and progress through the course. Return communications from CVA teachers and staff will be delayed until after Spring Break.

We look forward to working with our CVA students for the remainder of the term.
