World Hunger

Whose problem is it?   Is it your problem?

You will write a hypothesis on world hunger and develop a possible solution. You goal is to collect information to support or reject your hypothesis and solution.

You will investigate world hunger looking at such topics as Hunger in the world, hunger in Africa, the world’s hungriest countries, famine through history, children and hunger, and how hunger affects education.

Today your goal is investigate world organizations and how they aid hunger in the world.

1.  Read each site and write a 2-3 sentence description of what each organization does to aid world hunger.

Answer these questions:

1.     Why are women featured on each of these organizations’ web pages?

2.     Why are women important so important in the issue of food and hunger?

2. Read two articles from the sites below. Write  summary of each article explaining how it relates to world hunger. Do the articles help you to support your hypothesis?
