FAIRY TALES REVISITED

Saudi Arabia is our next country of study. You already know that it is located in the Middle East BUT there is so much more to know! You will be researching Saudi Arabia through the 5 Themes of Geography (I hope you remember them) and then re-write a fairy tale using your newfound knowledge as the backdrop!

This project has 3 components: Research, Writing, and Presentation. Each component will have a separate grade and rubric to guide you!

This will be a fun assignment BUT can easily become overwhelming if you don’t keep up with the work!

RESEARCH

  • On task behavior during research in Media Center 50 pts

WRITING
  • Rough draft 25 pts
  • Peer edited by 2 classmates 20 pts
  • Elements of Story (setting, characters, conflict,

  • Original fairy tale evident 15 pts
  • Illustrated cover 10 pts
  • Final Draft in blue/black ink or type 10 pts
PRESENTATION
  • Poster board presentation of 5 Theme research 50 pts
used in fairy tale (one slide per theme)
