Krissie Jackson, 8th Grade Cheerleader, 1980
I began
teaching physical education in 1996 after receiving my Bachelor of Science
degree in Physical Education and Health from Georgia State University. My first teaching job was in Bartow County at Cloverleaf
Elementary School. The next year I
began teaching for Cobb County at Nicholson Elementary School where I taught for
four years. I wanted to teach a
little closer to home so I began teaching here at Acworth Elementary for the
2000-2001 school year.
I received a Masters in Physical Education from Jacksonville State
University in Alabama in December of 2001 and then an Educational Specialist
degree in Physical Education in August of 2002 from the same university. In November of 2004, I became a National Board Certified
Teacher.
I was married in 1998 to my husband Scott and had a son in 1999 whose
name is Jake. I spend most of my
free time riding my Harley-Davidson Fatboy motorcycle.
Both my husband and I enjoy riding and have been doing so for close to
ten years. Now my son joins in on
the fun. We are planning many fun
trips on the motorcycles.
I really enjoy sports and fitness. I
want to share this enjoyment with my many students and want to help them become
healthy and fit students. My goal
is to motivate students to be active and eat healthy so they can enjoy a healthy
and active lifestyle the way I do!
