Role of the Technology Instructor

The role of the technology instructor at Bullard Elementary School is to plan and implement strategies that utilize the available hardware and software in the computer lab to support classroom instruction and facilitate student achievement in all curriculum areas, including technology.
The technology instructor:
is a certified, professional, experienced teacher/media specialist
has been involved in school and district media-technology committees
has evidenced integrating technology resources to enhance learning
has served in leadership roles in the school and district
has experience with basic hardware and software troubleshooting
advises the principal on school technology needs
facilitates and supports staff development activities related to technology
administers and manages student user accounts and software in the computer lab
assists teachers in developing lessons that integrate technology
plans with teachers to design projects which publish student work or documents the learning process
plans and implements lessons that allow students to be creative
creates projects that teach or support the core curriculum and addresses technology objectives
implements lessons that teach new technology methods
