The Davis Peace Patrol is a proactive student leadership team that has been in existence at Davis Elementary for twelve years.  The members, traditionally fifth grade students, are selected by their peers for showing character qualities of friendliness, positive attitudes, tolerance, trustworthiness, strong communication skills and willingness to help others.  The Peace Patrol members are trained in applying (with Davis Counselors) a conflict resolution-mediation model that has been used in various Cobb County elementary, middle and high school settings.  They offer their time and problem-solving skills to kindergarten through fifth grade students to follow the model's steps for improving relationships during friendship challenges and choices.

Typically, few peer mediations are conducted each year at Davis.  The Davis Peace Patrol members largely serve as school spirit role models in their representation of positive choices for all students to apply life skills in real situations.
