MEDIA CENTER RULES & GUIDELINES

GUIDELINES
1.  Students in grades 1 through 5 may check out 2 books; Kindergartners may check out 1 book.
2.  Books may be kept for 2 weeks; magazines are checked out for one night only.
3.  Students visiting the Media Center without their teacher MUST bring a signed Media Pass.
4.  Please use shelf markers when previewing books; put unwanted books back in their correct place.
5.  Take good care of your books!  Keep them away from food, pets, younger siblings, water, etc.!!
6.  When using the computers, please do not go online unless your teacher is with you!
7.  Students may not print anything without Mrs. Ergle's permission!
8.  No food or beverages allowed in the Media Center.
9.  Do not block access to book cases.
10. DO NOT TOUCH anything that doesn't belong to you, including books, magazines, pens, pencils, sharpeners, displays, equipment, etc.
11. Please leave everything the way you found it!
 

MEDIA CENTER SAFETY RULES
 

1.  Always use WALKING feet!

2.  Please use QUIET voices!
3.  Use the furniture appropriately - - no sitting on tables; no climbing on book cases; no standing on chairs, etc.

4.  Please follow the Reading Loft safety rules:

  • Only 3 students per loft level;
  • Do not move pillows or stuffed animals from one level to another, or throw them on the floor!

  • While on the loft, students MUST be reading quietly; no talking or fooling around.

  • Reading loft is off limits after school (2:20 p.m.)!
