Students
may begin checking out books after they have attended library
orientation, which will take place the second week of school.
Teachers are strongly encouraged to attend with their classes.

Students must be in their classrooms by 8:45 in order to
watch FMN Ford Mustang News.

Students must bring their bar coded shelf markers with them
to check out books.

Students are responsible for reimbursing the school for
books that are lost or damaged beyond use. A bill will
be sent home with the student and payment for the book is
expected
The
library is open from 7:20 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Students may
check out books prior to the beginning of the school day,
but must have the permission of their teacher and return
to the classroom prior to announcements as mentioned above.
After
library orientation is completed, students in grades 2-5 may
check out 2 books at a time for a period of 2 weeks. Kindergarten
& 1st grade students may check out one.
If a student
has an overdue book, they
must
come
to the library to either return the book or check it out again.
No new library books will be checked out to students having
2 overdue or lost books until they are returned.
Students
may ask for a reserve on any title. Students should check the
reserve cart next to the circulation desk to see if the reserved
book is in. It will be held for 3 days. Books that are reserved
may not be renewed.
Overdue
notices will be sent to homeroom teachers every two weeks.
Teachers: this is confidential information, so it will be delivered
stapled
and include the student's name on the outside. These should
be sent home with students. Do not post these for others to
see.
