Just a reminder you can prepay for your child's lunch for the week or the month. This saves time in the lunch line and is much easier for the students and teachers! We have several payment options for prepaying for your child's lunches. You can prepay for meals with a major credit card by telephone or through the internet with MealpayPlus. You can also view your child's account balance, meal purchases and payment history on the internet, and even be notified by email when the account balance is low, by registering online with MealpayPlus using your child's student ID#. You do not have to make prepayments to use this feature. For more information go to www.MealpayPlus.com or use the link from www.cobbk12.org.
You may also pay into an account
for your child with cash or check. Please put all cash in a sealed
envelope with your child's (first and last) name and the teacher's
name and grade on the outside of the envelope. When paying by check,
write your child's (first and last) name and student ID# on the
check. Lunch money is to be placed in the beige drop box in
the dining area first thing in the morning. (Remember these are
young children and their teachers are not allowed to handle their
money. The students are responsible for getting their money to the
lunchroom. For this reason, we suggest paying by check if possible
just in case their money is misplaced along the way.) Cobb County School Administration limits lunch charges to $4.80 for elementary school students. An alternative meal consisting of a peanut butter sandwich and milk will be served to students exceeding the charge limit. Even if your child does not buy lunch on a regular basis, we suggest keeping $1.60 (enough for 1 lunch) in their account for emergencies. Note: Any money paid into your child's account stays in the account until they buy lunch or A-La-Carte items.
In the operation of the child feeding program, no child will be discriminated against because of race, sex, color, national origin, age or handicap. If you believe you have been discriminated against, write to the Secretary of Agriculture, Washington DC 20250 |
