RECYCLING

Be sure to collect your newspapers, magazines, and aluminum cans.

Bring them to Frey for recycling.

Bins are located in the bus port area near the school bus maintenance facility.

Students are encouraged to recycle paper in their classrooms!

Cell Phones for Soldiers

Dig through your junk drawer, closets and shoeboxes for that old cell phone that’s just collecting dust and taking up space  – batteries, chargers and any other additional accessories are also accepted.

 

 

Pre-Paid Shipping Label

Donated phones can be dropped off at the bus port of Frey Elementary School. The phones are sent to be reconditioned and resold to wholesale companies in over 40 countries in the world. The proceeds are then used to buy prepaid calling cards for our soldiers serving in the Middle East. The goal is to provide every US soldier with a way to call home for free. RECYCLE FOR EDUCATION

Frey Elementary will be collecting inkjet cartridges this year. Ink cartridges placed in sealed Ziploc bags may be turned in to your child’s teacher or placed in the collection bin at the bus port.  Please be sure to write your child’s grade and teacher’s name on the Ziploc bag so credit will be given to his/her classroom.

 

An ice cream party will be awarded to the classroom that brings in the most ink cartridges each quarter.

The winning class will proudly display the Frey “Trophy of Trash”

Congratulations to our Mr. Jordan's 4th Grade class for winning the ink cartridge contest!!!!

 

 

 

“Swerve into recycling” program

 

 With the cooperation of Interstate Battery, Frey will start collecting used household batteries. Just place your used batteries in the traffic cone at the bus port throughout this school year. Our goal is to recycle 1000 lbs of used batteries this year.


Thank you to Mr. David Lee for donating 450 lbs of batteries for Frey’s Recycling efforts!
