Academic Bowl Team -- Four member teams participate in regional and state academic trivia tournaments
Sponsor:  Dr. Ehsan Kattoula
Expectations:  Practices Thursdays

When:  Oct; regionals at various times throughout the year; state tournament in late March

Art Club -- Art Hawks
Sponsor: Ms. Jennie Collier-Johnston
Expectations: The art club is dedicated to extra curricular art activities for art students, and those students who may be interested in art but not enrolled in an art class.
Cost: $20. dues - one time only (which includes your art hawks shirt)
When: Weekly - (Art Club will vote on what day of the week they want to meet)

FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) -- Promote leadership and business skills in high school students
Sponsor: Mr. Bill Wilkins
Expectations: To provide students with opportunities to learn techniques and skills related to helping them become successful leaders, especially after school. Members will receive a subscription to "Business Leader" Magazine, have the ability to attend several field trips, hear great guest speakers on a monthly basis, do community service, and be able to involve themselves socially while simultaneously learning leadership skills.

GHP (Governor's Honors Program) -- Competitive, highly prestigious state-wide program for gifted/talented sophomores and juniors. Finalists in academics, fine arts, and career-technology attend state-funded 6-week summer session at Valdosta State University
Sponsor: Ms. Roberts
Expectations: Intense preparation Sep.-Oct.; School, county, and state levels of interviews/auditions; Results announced April 1.
Cost: None to nominees (state-funded)
When: Departmental inverviews - Sep.; school interviews - Oct.; county competition - Nov.; state competition - Jan. to Feb.; actual program - six weeks in summer.
How to join: Information meeting in Sep., teacher nominations required within 1 week of meeting
Background Req.: Open to outstanding, well-rounded sophomores and juniors; Demonstrated ability in subject area.
Teacher recommendation required: Teacher nomination in field of competition
Parent Involvement.: Commitment to allowing child to attend the full 6-weeks program. Transportation to interviews, to/from Valdosta for winners.

International Thespian Society-- To recognize excellence in theatre production

Cost: $25 (includes pin and one-year magazine subscription to Dramatics magazine)
