AP Geography
The following THREE books are assigned for MANDATORY summer reading:

Guns, Germs and Steel, (ISBN-10: 0739467352) by Jared Diamond.
The World is Flat, (ISBN-10:  0312425074) by Thomas Friedman.
Freakonomics, (ISBN-10:  0061234001) by Steven Levitt.

All may be purchased as paperback.  We will have a written assessment on Freakonomics within the first few days of the course.  Therefore, it is highly suggested that the books be read in order and that the student prepares themselves for the reading/writing assessment immediately upon entering the course.  Any questions regarding the assignment should be directed to bruce.howard@cobbk12.org.  Any student that wishes to have a handout from the instructor regarding the readings, supplementary material and other useful class information, should e-mail the instructor and request it.

Students that cannot or are not willing to complete the reading assignments prior to the first day of class should seriously consider changing their schedule to replace AP Human Geography with something less strenuous.
