What is AAH?
- AAH is a club
designed for students who are seeking better academic success.
Who is eligible?
- All students
at Kell High School are eligible.
Are there certain
requirements to be a part of AAH?
- Yes. AAH is
for students who are serious about being successful in school. The following
are requirements that all AVID students and all AAH participants must follow:
- Take
Cornell notes in all classes
- Keep one
organized binder
- Participate
in weekly binder checks
- Keep track
of class grades/ assignments
What are the
Benefits of being in AAH?
- Can we even
fit them all on one page?? As a member of AAH you’ll receive the following
benefits:
- The option
to participate in all AVID field trips
- The
opportunity to fundraise and earn money for fun AVID activities
- One-on-one
tutorial help from teachers and advanced students
- An official
AVID teacher/ site team member teaching you proven successful AVID
strategies
- The shock
and joy as you watch your grades skyrocket towards “A”-dom
So how do I sign
up to interview?
- Sign up on
Mrs. Minich’s (Wilkins) door – room 2223 – for a time slot to interview.
Interviews start Thursday 9/8.
When will AAH
meet?
- AAH meetings
will be held Wednesday afternoons from 3:30-4:30 and two Wednesday mornings
per month from 7:30-8:15 for those with daily after school commitments. (Room
number TBD)
- Locations
will rotate between 2223 (Mrs. Minich), 2314 (Mr. Needle), and 2404 (Ms.
Taylor). Watch Beef for Breakfast, listen to the announcements or check the
door of room 2223 for locations each week.
