Prerequisite:
2 Units Social Studies
Gives a general overview
of the principles and concepts of psychology.
Purpose of course is to provide a better understanding
of human behavior and interpersonal relationships.
U.S. and World Affairs
- 11th-12th Grades
Prerequisite: 2 Units
Social Studies & Teacher Rec.
In-depth examination of contemporary, local, state,
national, and international issues. The main purpose of
this course is to assess and analyze social, political,
and economic issues involved in current events as well
as American involvement in international
affairs. Intense reading and detailed research are
required. Participation in the Model United
Nations program is emphasized and also required.
Current Issues -
11th-12th Grades
Prerequisite:
None
Current Issues A & B provides an opportunity for
in-depth examination of contemporary local, state,
national and international issues. The purpose of
this course is to assess, assimilate and analyze
political and economic situations.
Sociology
Prerequisite: 2 Units Social Studies
Gives a general overview of the principles and concepts
of sociology. Purpose of the course is to
provide a better understanding of human relationships
and the individual’s role in society
World Area Study (10th-12th)
Prerequisite: World Geography or Teacher Rec.
World Area Study
examines a region of the world focusing on an
investigation of the geographic, historic, cultural,
economic, and political development of the region.
