Why the name "Lovinggood"? |
Paul Lovinggood (1917 - 2001) was a
lifelong resident of West Cobb County. He was a quiet, soft
spoken man who was not afraid to take a stand. Mr. Lovinggood
valued education and served as a senior member of the
McEachern Trust Board for nearly forty years. He also served
on the Board of the Georgia Farm Bureau. He helped to bring
electricity to the West Cobb area via the Rural Electric
Association (REA) in 1938. Mr. Lovinggood later served on the
board of the Cobb EMC and served as a deacon at Lost Mountain
Baptist Church.
