Reminder Notice and Permission Form

Dear 6th Grade Band Students and Parents,

On Tuesday, May 12th, 2009, our 6th grade band will present its final concert for this school year. The students have done a tremendous job throughout this year and I am certain you will enjoy their final concert! Our total band program has grown tremendously over the past ten years, thanks to the support of parents who wish to provide their child with a complete education which includes a vigorous musical experience in the band. The Dodgen 6th grade band students display  the very best in our youth today. These young people are positive, respectful, hardworking students who allow us to pull and stretch them to their intellectual limits. I find it most rewarding to be associated with these students and with a community so dedicated to the highest standards in education. We have successfully completed the first year towards a lifetime of music. Many exciting opportunities await these students as they enter the 7th grade band.

In the event that Mr. Jeffres and I do not have the opportunity to speak to you personally after our spring

concert, we would like to thank you for your support and encouragement over the course of this year. You’re the greatest!

PERMISSION FORM- 6th Grade Band Spring Concert

DUE Monday APRIL 20, 2009

My child, __________________________________________________, has permission to attend the 6th Grade Band’s Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 12th, 2009. Students need to wear their full band uniform (band shirt, black pants, dress shoes and black socks). Students need to report to the band room no later than 6:30 PM to begin the warm-up and tuning session. The concert will begin at 7:00 PM.
