8th GRADE BAND SPRING CONCERT

Reminder Notice and Permission Form

 

Dear 8th Grade Band Students and Parents,

 

On Thursday, May 14th, 2009, our 8th grade band will present its final concert for this school year. The students have done a tremendous job throughout this year and I am certain you will enjoy their final concert! Our total band program has grown tremendously over the past ten years, thanks to the support of parents who wish to provide their child with a complete education which includes a vigorous musical experience in the band. The Dodgen 8th grade band students display the very best in our youth today. These young people are positive, respectful, hardworking students who allow us to pull and stretch them to their intellectual limits. I find it most rewarding to be associated with these students and with a community so dedicated to the highest standards in education. We have successfully completed the third year towards a lifetime of music. Many exciting opportunities await these students as they enter the band programs at either Walton or Pope High Schools. PLEASE encourage your child to complete the registration material distributed by the high schools so that they can be enrolled in the high school band program!  You may contact the high school band directors if you have questions regarding membership in their band programs.

PERMISSION FORM- 8th Grade Band Spring Concert

DUE  Monday APRIL 20, 2009

 

My child, __________________________________________________, has permission to attend the 8th Grade Band’s Spring Concert on Thursday, May 14th, 2009. Students need to wear their full band uniform (band shirt, black pants, dress shoes and black socks). Students need to report to the band room no later than 6:30 PM to begin the warm-up and tuning session. The concert will begin at 7:00 PM.
