The Dodgen band room is equipped with 462 Wenger instrument storage units; complete sound isolation from all surrounding areas; a state-of-the-art recording and sound system with surround sound for instant recording and playback of rehearsals; a mounted ceiling VGA projector for viewing computer programs, digital video from concerts, instructional DVD, and VHS recordings; water fountain; and a sink for mouthpiece sterilization

Wall of Fame
The Dodgen Band Wall of fame recognizes Dodgen Band students who have earned seats in the Georgia Music Educators Association All-State Band  since 2002. Band Office
The Band office is equipped with a Cannon copier, a computer work station networked to a HP color laser printer contained in the office, a phone with a separate line for the band room, and two teacher's desks.


Practice Rooms
There are two practice rooms contained within the band room.  All practice rooms and ensemble rooms have been constructed with proper sound isolation so that the full band can rehearse without disturbing individuals practicing in one of the two small practice rooms or the ensemble room. Each room is equipped with computer drops and networking capability.


Tuba Room
The Tuba Room is contained within the band room and was specifically designed for the easy and safe storage/retrieval of these large instruments throughout the day.  Two students share each tuba, however each individual has their own mouthpiece which is stored in the "Mouthpiece Hotel" until their class period. The space above the Tuba storage area is used for the storage of our complete steel drum set which is used once each week for the percussion ensemble rehearsals.


Large Ensemble Room

Cool Area for Various Ensembles)

This large ensemble room is contained within the band room and can seat groups of up to 25 students.  This "Small-Band-Room-Within-A-Room" is used during the day for rehearsing skills for specific sections of the band. This room is also used each morning to accommodate the morning ensemble program.  Each ensemble (Flute Choir, Percussion Ensemble, Low Brass Choir, Trumpet Choir, Sax Choir, Clarinet Choir, German Band) meets one day each week between 8:00 AM and 8:50 AM.  One group rehearses in the main rehearsal space while the second groups rehearses in the ensemble room.


The Band Library (located directly across the hall from the Band Room) houses 1029 concert band selections, 567 solo and ensemble selections, a variety of method books, instrument repair supplies, 30 folding Wenger gig stands (for use during off-campus performances), and a variety of other band supplies and equipment.
