Pope High School Band
8th Grade Band Night 2008
Dodgen Band students performed at the Pope High School 8th Grade Band Night on September 5th, 2008. The Dodgen students were greeted by the Pope band students and directors and treated to a reception which provided an opportunity to visit with the Pope band students. After the reception, the Dodgen band students marched into the stadium with the Pope band. The fans at the game displayed a quiet reverence as the Pope band, joined by the Dodgen 8th grade band, performed our National Anthem. Throughout the game, the Dodgen students joined the high school band as they played the fight song and other tunes to inspire the team and the crowd.
The 8th grade band from Hightower Trail Middle School participated in this event so that all 8th grade students would have the chance to experience the potential for the Pope H.S. Band's 2009 9th grade class! All students had a great time and were given words of thanks and encouragement by the nationally recognized director of the Pope High School Band, Mr. Gary Gribble, and his assistant Mr. Joshua Rudolph.
