Fall  Recital for ALL Morning Ensembles

This form is due no later than Monday, October 13, 2008

Dear Band Students and Parent,

On November 6, 2008, all morning ensembles perform for each other and for the Dodgen community prior to the annual GMEA Solo & Ensemble Performance Evaluation.  This recital gives each ensemble the opportunity to perform for an audience instead of just a single adjudicator as is the case for the GMEA evaluation.  There are years when some morning ensembles do not perform at the GMEA evaluation, however all ensembles do perform at the recital.  It is critical that each ensemble member be on time so that their group can warm-up and tune prior to the recital.  In small groups, each student's musical responsibility is even greater than in the large, full band ensembles. Please make sure all assigned parts are prepared well in advance of the recital. Thank you!

Fall Recital

My child,_________________________________________________, has permission to perform in the fall recital presented by the Dodgen Morning Ensembles at 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 6, 2008, in the Dodgen Theater.  I understand that students are to report at 6:30 PM and must arrive already dress in the official Dodgen Band uniform.
